CNC Milling Services
At Clearwater Engineering, we provide precision machined and assembled components primarily to the aerospace industry. Utilizing advanced CNC Milling, Mill/Turn & Swiss Lathe Machining of titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys to precision tolerances to meet the turn-key requirements of our customers. As a supplier to the commercial and government aerospace sectors, our team specializes in the ability to machine the hard metals and specialty alloys required for durability, maintenance, and fracture critical applications. Parts up to 120" in length, 40" in width, and 30" in height can be machined on 5-axis milling centers utilizing automatic pallet systems for lights out manufacturing capabilities. The ability to perform lights out machining allows us to provide customers with extremely complex components at competitive prices.
Other capabilities include engineering that utilizes the latest in CAD and Verification software such as CATIA, MASTERCAM, VERICUT and TDM systems for setup and tool management standardization. Jobs are managed through an advanced MRP system that includes a machine intelligence platform that integrates with our MRP system to provide the real-time machine and job performance visibility on an actionable level. An ongoing expansion has allowed us to increase our offering of value-added services, which include assembly and kitting. Mechanical and electromechanical assembly services are performed in dedicated areas set up to accommodate a range of production volumes. Kitting services allow customers to receive multiple parts packaged together for maximum efficiency during final assembly. Any kitted parts that are not produced in-house can either be provided by the customer or sourced as needed. Flexible stocking and fulfillment solutions are available and tailored to each customer’s specific needs. Custom Machining & Supply Chain Management of Commercial Aircraft Parts & Assemblies
At Clearwater Engineering, we provide precision turnkey manufacturing of numerous components and assemblies for the commercial aircraft industry. The assembly highlighted here is a hinge support that is comprised of 7050 AMS 4050 aluminum plate and 6061 T-651 aluminum sheet. The assembly is manufactured by forming and machining individual components to Boeing BAC5300, BAC5004, BAC5047 fabrication standards, holding tolerances as tight as ±0.030".
